Children's Specialized ABA provides a comprehensive suite of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services designed to meet the diverse needs of children across North Carolina. These services include highly structured center-based programs, integrated school-based support, and convenient in-home therapy sessions, ensuring that families can access the most appropriate and effective care for their child's development.
Each service modality is tailored to foster significant improvements in social skills, communication, emotional regulation, and behavioral management. The center-based option offers a dedicated, play-based environment for skill acquisition and peer interaction, while in-home services bring therapeutic strategies directly into the child's familiar surroundings. School-based therapy ensures that progress continues within the educational setting, promoting generalization of learned skills.
Embarking on ABA therapy with Children's Specialized ABA is a structured yet supportive journey focused on understanding and addressing your child's unique developmental profile. The process begins with an initial outreach, followed by a thorough diagnostic evaluation for children under 10, conducted by a qualified psychologist. This is crucial for establishing a baseline understanding of the child's needs and identifying potential areas for intervention.
Following the diagnostic evaluation, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a detailed assessment to pinpoint specific treatment goals. This assessment informs the development of a personalized therapy plan, outlining recommended therapy hours, objectives, and strategies. Once the plan is established, children can begin receiving ABA therapy services, whether in our centers, their homes, or at school, ensuring a cohesive and effective therapeutic experience.
Center-based ABA therapy at Children's Specialized ABA provides a stimulating and structured environment specifically designed to foster skill development in children. This setting allows for consistent application of evidence-based behavioral strategies within a safe, engaging, and play-based atmosphere, promoting social interaction with peers and focused learning opportunities under the guidance of experienced clinicians.
The advantages of our centers include dedicated spaces equipped to support a wide range of therapeutic activities, from communication practice to social skills training and self-regulation techniques. This specialized environment helps children generalize learned behaviors across different contexts and encourages the development of crucial social competencies through structured group activities and peer modeling.
In-home ABA therapy offered by Children's Specialized ABA brings the benefits of Applied Behavior Analysis directly into the comfort and familiarity of your child's own environment. This personalized approach allows therapists to observe behaviors in their natural context, identify triggers and reinforcers specific to the home setting, and implement interventions that seamlessly integrate into daily routines, making therapy highly practical and effective.
This service modality is particularly beneficial for children who may find transitions challenging or for families seeking to reinforce therapeutic goals within their everyday life. Our BCBA-led assessments ensure that the in-home therapy plan is tailored to address specific family needs and child developmental goals, empowering parents and caregivers with strategies to support their child's progress consistently.
