A Complete Path to Care
Navigating autism services can be overwhelming. That’s why our team is here to guide you from the very beginning. At Children’s Specialized ABA, your child’s journey typically starts with the following steps:
Autism diagnostic evaluation
This service is available for children under age 10. If your child has not yet received a formal diagnosis, we can help coordinate a comprehensive evaluation with a licensed psychologist. This evaluation helps to provide a foundation for future care planning. There is no waitlist for this service, so you can get the answers and support you need without delay.
Initial Assessment of Treatment Goals
Once a diagnosis is confirmed, a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) works closely with your family to create a personalized therapy plan. This includes identifying key goals, determining the number of therapy hours, and selecting a care setting that works best for your family.

Our ABA therapy in North Carolina
ABA therapy helps children build meaningful, functional skills that promote independence. At Children’s Specialized ABA, we offer a flexible and comprehensive ABA therapy program that meets children and families where they are—at home, in our Greensboro center, or in the community.
Center-based ABA
Our center-based ABA therapy provides a structured, supportive environment where children can focus on learning new skills without distractions. These sessions allow for peer interaction, generalization of skills, and close collaboration with a team of specialists. Children benefit from consistent routines and a space designed specifically to support developmental growth.
Home-based ABA
Home-based ABA therapy brings compassionate, evidence-based care into a child’s familiar environment. Therapists work on targeted goals within daily routines, helping children build independence where it matters most. Families are included throughout the process to ensure consistency and reinforce skills between sessions.
